You can't make your way to Salt Spring without enjoying some of the local island culture. We've organized a few fun festivities for the weekend of the wedding. No pressure to do any or all of these activities, as one of the best things about Salt Spring is the joy of disconnecting from the rest of the world and simply lounging on a patio.
One of our favourite ways to ease into island time is to spend an afternoon in Salt Spring Winery's wonderful little vineyard. Their barn house tasting room, pick-nick table seating, and family of resident ducks provide for a most welcoming way to taste wine.
If you make it to the island by Friday afternoon come join us for a few hours of sunshine and vino.
There is no better way to see the Island than during a leisurely run through the hills. Join Amanda for a morning run to make room for the food and wine to come later day in the day. We'll depart from The Stonehouse and meander along a 10 km loop for just under an hour.
Share stories and stretch your legs during a walk up Mount Maxwell where we will take in some of the most beautiful views on the island. There is road access all the way to the top, so if you aren't up for much exercise you can still join us by car to take in the scenery. Those of us who want to work off the reception dinner will take a thirty minute path through the forest.
